SLO Swim Safe Program
Program Description
The program is a partnership between the San Luis Unified School District and the SLO Water Polo Club, designed to help elementary school students become confident and safe in the water. Through fun, structured lessons led by experienced instructors, kids will learn essential swimming skills like floating, basic strokes, and key water safety practices. The program is open to all children in the community, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to develop these important lifelong skills in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Eligibility
The program is open to elementary school students enrolled in the San Luis Unified School District. The program is designed for beginners and those looking to build confidence in the water, with a focus on essential swimming skills and water safety. This program is completely free of charge.
Upcoming Session
We have two upcoming sessions:
- Session 1: (3 lessons) – February 8, February 22, and March 8, 12:00 - 12:45 pm
- Session 2: (3 lessons) – April 5, April 19, and April 26, 12:00 - 12:45 pm
Each session is limited to 30 participants and spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
